How we started ...
Created by international photographer Gary Italiaander, ‘LovePortraits’ is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of family portraiture while supporting a variety of worthwhile causes.
This concept creates a national programme, ensuring that professional portraiture is available to everybody, while at the same time helping those in need. Professional photographers are making this possible by donating their time and expertise while including
a complimentary 8" x 6" portrait of you and your family to treasure ... forever.
Gary Italiaander invited Hoss Mahdavi to join forces to develop the concept and they have been doing just that to make this unique portrait opportunity available.
Endorsements have come from HRH Princess Michael of Kent, Rt.Hon. Gordon Brown and
Rt. Hon. David Cameron.
"What are families? They are pictures ... because our children grow so quickly and so the family portrait is terribly important. The linking of family portraits with charities all over this country is a wonderful idea. I whole-heartedly support it and wish this unique project every success.”
HRH Princess Michael of Kent
Why are family portraits so important?
How many of us have a really amazing professional photograph of our grandparents or even our own parents? Most of us would be hard pushed to find a few tiny faded snapshots of our loved ones from yesteryear. It’s so important to create a time for your family to get together, especially when something so special and lasting will come from it.
A portrait is the opportunity to bring families together to record that very special image for future generations.
What will it mean for the charities?
The ‘LovePortraits’ initiative will help to raise much-needed funds for a variety of charities.
